Acer plans to bring out up to 10 smartphones in the year 2010 which will comprise of both Android phones and Windows Mobile. Although Windows Mobile has been the leaders in providing platform for smartphones, but Android, the new kid on the block, Google’s brainchild, is fast cashing in on the business of Smartphones. One might wonder: What is the Android Operating System all about? Android phones are the new generation smart phones. They utilize the best and most advanced technology that is available in the present day for providing the best functionality, and thereby provide a number of amazing features that would be almost unthinkable to be possessed by a mobile gadget. There is an agreement between all these mobile phone companies to maintain open standards in the designing and marketing of mobile phones and other gadgets.  The Android operating system basically consists of software developers writing managed code using the Java programming language.
