Sonic Anniversary Fast Approaching…
We all remember Sonic right? Well if you don’t then either there’s something wrong with you in the head or you’ve been on another planet for the last nearly twenty years. Sonic was first released on the 23rd of June 1991 so we are almost upon the old blue ‘hogs twenty year anniversary.
Now unless you’re one of these people that have been elsewhere for the last ten years or are mentally ill in the head then we have all played on the mighty Sonic the Hedgehog at some point in our lives and remember the classic platform game that we were blessed with, well according to a Sega rep at Madrid’s Gamefest 2010 Sonic 4: Episode 1 sees remakes of some of the old levels that we saw on the classic platform game that was released all the way back in 1991, but hold your horses, if you’re getting slightly agitated at the news that they are remaking old levels then you might be less annoyed that there will be a new twist with the remake of these old levels.
So this could mean that we may see 3D incorporated into Sonic for the first time ever! Of course you will need a 3D ready TV to be able to play this in 3D so unless you have one of them then I’m sorry to disappoint but there will be no new ‘twist’ on the new Sonic game of old. But you can be certain that there will be the friends of old there like Tails, as ever to help Sonic out when he needs it most and maybe we will see the return of the old nemesis Dr. Robotnik.
Finally, bits of bad news for any of you reading this that have Xbox’s. As of yet there is no word of this title being released on Microsoft’s games console, the Xbox 360 but it will be available on the PS3, PSP, and the Nintendo Wii. Enjoy the return of Sonic!
