Apple finally confirm White iPhone 4 for… spring!

Apple have finally confirmed, almost a year since its initial release that they will be releasing the White Apple iPhone 4. Yes! The white one! You read it right! After announcing back in June last year that they would be releasing the handset in two colours, we still only have one of those colours, black. It doesn’t take much to guess what the other colour was that they said they would be releasing it in, yeah you guessed it the other colour was white.

Well according to the Wall Street Journal Apple have announced that they are going to be releasing the white iPhone in spring this year. Although in the article from the Wall Street Journal there are no quotes from Apple themselves it says that word from Apple is that they will be releasing the handset in spring of this year and it later says that apple are reiterating what they said back in November of last year about it being a spring release.

Although the WSJ are normally bob on with what they have to say about Apple and the release of their products we’re just a little bit sceptical about this one. The only reason is because of the lack of confirmation of anything from Apple. Normally Apple will drop a cheeky little line kind of backing up what is being said in WSJ but this time they haven’t.

Some are putting this lack of communication from Apple down to the fact that if they agree with what the WSJ is saying that they will then have to make an announcement about the hotly anticipated Apple iPhone 5. Obviously you’d probably be a bit stupid to put your money on anything other than it being released around the June/July time but who knows, if the White iPhone 4 is released in spring then it could push back the release of the iPhone 5; or we could get a double whammy and see them both released in the same year?
