Search syntax for the Mozbot search engine

The Mozbot search engine has a number of functions that need to be explained. They are summarized here:

- Searching all the web or in UK

Two options are available on the Mozbot search engine:
* Search all the web: the default language setting is English. You can change this in preferences.
* Search in UK: searches only amongst pages that are hosted in UK or on ".uk" web sites.

Note that the Mozbot preferences let you select which button is checked by default when you open the engine. When nothing has been selected, UK web is checked by default.

- "Exclusion list" management

The Mozbot search engine lets you manage an exclusion list. No pages from sites included in this list will appear in your search results. They will all be eliminated before the results are displayed.
There are two ways of adding a site to the exclusion list:
* Click on the "Exclude this site" link below each search result.
* Go directly to preferences and type them directly into the exclusion list.
In both cases, it is possible to remove a site from this list (and thus see its pages reappear in the results) by deleting it from the exclusion list in preferences
Important: the system only works with domain names. If you add an address to the exclusion list, all the pages of the site will be deleted from subsequent results.

- Configuring your search engine (color, functions, etc.)

The Mozbot search engine preferences allow you to personalize your search tool to your own taste and according to your needs:
- Interface color.
- Page thumbnails displayed or not for search results.
- Default search mode ("all the web", "in UK").
- The languages used when searching "all the web".
- Exclusion list management.
- Activation - or deactivation - of the last 20 searches function.
- Display mode (text or graphic) for the Mozbot functions for each search result ("Info", "Exclude this site", etc.).

Use them to make a search engine that corresponds as nearly as possible to your needs!
