Well we also know how tight lipped Apple, as a company are about their rumoured “new products” which lets admit it aren’t really surprising new products at all. They’re in fact probably the worst kept secret in the technology world.

Well now their most recent “worst kept secret” is set to be announced and put up for sale in the coming weeks. There have been lots of different rumours doing the rounds about the iPhone 5 and what it will and what it won’t have on or in it for that matter. We do know that it will come in the old 16GB and 32GB memory sizes and it will also be compatible with Vodafone’s £50 signal booster; Vodafone Sure Signal.

Anyway, back to Al Gore. He is a board member at Apple and he said at a Leadership Conference in South Africa “Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month. That was a plug.” Obviously there are two ways in which he could have meant that. He could have meant that there was a second handset to be announced along with the eagerly anticipated iPhone 5. This second handset is rumoured to be a smaller, cheaper version of the iPhone 4, or a budget iPhone 4. However, he could have just meant the numerous handsets of the iPhone 5 that will be released. Who knows what he means? It could be either, but at least we know that there will be a new iPhone being released next month!

This time of year there’s never normally any news on the newest iPhone as it’s already been announced and phone shops up and down the country are gearing up for the big release of the latest member of Apple’s iPhone family. Well this year things have hit a few snags along the way and there’s not been any announcement of when the new iPhone, or the iPhone 5, will be released.

There’s been a few dates been rumoured for the expected release, but as of yet there’s been no confirmed date for the handset to be released and all that we can pretty much fathom is that there will probably be an Autumn 2011 release date for the new handset, although that’s just an educated guess!

We also have no confirmation about this yet, but some people are saying that the new iPhone 5 will debut alongside the yet to be released iOS 5. The iOS 5 has a confirmed release date in September but as of yet we don’t know. There’s lots of news about the latest iOS release and if the new iPhone is going to be something a little special then iOS 5 should work a dream on it and we could start to see the beginning of wireless storage from Apple for their customers!

Some rumours that are flying around at the minute are that the iPhone will be iCloud based and it will also come complete with voice control! Apparently the voice control is to be used for sending texts, making Facetime calls and playing back music, music that could be stored wirelessly on the iCloud!

There’s lots more that we couldn’t possibly fit into this article about what we could and what we couldn’t expect from the new iPhone 5, but we wouldn’t want to spoilt the surprise for you when it does actually get released!

As many expected there’s going to be no iPhone 5 released at this year’s WWDC. At the Apple event there’s going to be a bit of a shock to the system when there’ll be no announcement that there’s going to be no new iPhone handset announced this year.

Some people will be devastated by that news and some other people won’t be too bothered by the news. Instead we’ve had news that there’s going to be a new iOS released at this summer’s event, which may act as a bit of a stop gap for some people but it may not suffice for others. The new iOS 5 will be unveiled at this summer’s WWDC and there’s set to be a host of new things added to the new iOS from Apple.

This has to got be some good news for current iPhone 4 and 3GS users because it still means that although they’re physically not getting a new handset it will be like having a new handset because of all of the features that the new iOS will bring to the handsets. There are many things that a lot of people out there will love about the new update, one of which is the fact that you no longer have to connect your device to a computer to receive the latest iOS updates and they will be over the air.

There are a bunch of other things that will be included in this update and some of them will no doubt be more appealing to certain people and not so appealing to others. There’s no official release date for the iOS 5 as of yet but there are rumours that it will be released in the autumn of this year, presumably to coincide with the expected release of the next iPhone handset.

So as it looks at the minute there are plenty of things to look forward to as far as Apple’s future is concerned, so for any of you out there who were hoping to be seeing the release of the new iPhone 5 this summer then you may have to hold out for a few more months and just make do with your new iOS update for now. Although we’re sure that the new handset will definitely be worth the wait.
