ENERGY STAR certification leads to the formation and establishment of an ENERGY STAR Alliance. The new IBM POWER7 System has become the first in its respective class to earn the prestigious ENERGY STAR Efficient Tag. ENERGY STAR is basically a certificate of the energy saving potential of a new technology. The brand new IBM Power 750 Express processor and the IBM Power 755 High Performance Node processor have become the First Four-Processor Systems to be bestowed with an ENERGY STAR certification. ENERGY STAR certification leads to the formation and establishment of an ENERGY STAR Alliance. So one might wonder what exactly an ENERGY STAR certification is. ENERGY STAR is a venture that is fully backed by the Government of the United States which is aimed to protect the environment through creating, production and propagation of efficient energy.
