For its fourth edition, the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) is heading back to İstanbul Expo Center, running January 6 to 9, 2027. More than 500 exhibitors and approximately 35,000 sector professionals from over 150 countries are expected, creating new routes for international trade and cooperation.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 is scheduled for January 6 to 9, 2027 at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM). Support for the fair, which is organised by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc., comes from the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
The event, which connects Türkiye’s global carpet manufacturing strength with international commerce, will bring to Istanbul a professional audience that spans producers, importers, wholesalers, chain stores, architects and interior designers.
Where the carpet sector meets world trade
Exhibitors will be able to enter new markets, develop export connections and establish international partnerships, as the fair shows international buyers what Türkiye offers in production capacity, design expertise and a favourable geographic location.
Upwards of 500 exhibitors are anticipated at ICFE 2027, with the fair forecast to welcome approximately 35,000 visitors who will travel from more than 150 countries.
Professional buyers are expected from leading carpet and floor coverings markets, including Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries, giving exhibitors the opportunity to build new commercial relationships during the event.

New customs rule to draw international exhibitors
The Directorate General of Customs of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade has introduced an important regulation intended to support the exhibition and increase participation from abroad. Under the country’s customs legislation, products brought in by international exhibitors were previously subject to a temporary customs duty equal to 100% of the FOB (Free on Board) value, and this has now been reduced to 10% exclusively for ICFE 2027.
Collaboration between public authorities and industry representatives led to the measure, which is expected to ease the financial burden considerably for international companies showing high-value products. It should also encourage participation from more countries and increase the international trade volume at the exhibition.
Design and knowledge sharing take centre stage
Alongside the business programme, ICFE 2027 will host several events that support the development of the sector, encourage innovation and promote knowledge sharing.
Carpet Talks, which attracted strong interest at previous editions, is back, with leading industry figures coming together to discuss design, production, branding and the sector’s transformation.
The Carpet Design Awards will give innovative carpet designs an international stage, putting fresh creative work in front of sector professionals. Visitors will also find inspiration at the Carpet Workshop, where designers from different countries collaborate on production under a special concept.
Bringing the sector together for business
As a trading platform, ICFE 2027 will let manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals discover fresh business opportunities.

With 445 exhibitors and 31,410 visitors from 127 countries recorded at the previous edition, ICFE 2027 is now aiming for broader participation and higher international visibility to strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading carpet and flooring events.
