To be released in time for the royal wedding, a mobile phone specifically tailored for the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. As wedding fever starts to take hold, memorabilia is popping up all over the place as companies try to cash in on the special occasion. The latest is the mobile phone, Alcatel.
Sporting the patriotic Union Jack and the initials C and W on the back, the handset will also record the date of the wedding. The smartphone costs just £14.95 for the handset, and is available from the Carphone Warehouse.
The pay as you go phone also features a ring tone of Mendelssohn’s Wedding March and a special wallpaper of Kate and William.
Mark Eastham, who is the commercial director at Carphone Warehouse, said the company is proud to offer the limited addition handset to its customers. He added that the fun product is an affordable option that taps into the patriotic spirit that will be experienced by many in the run up to the royal wedding.
As well as the Alcatel handset, royal wedding memorabilia has gone high-tech in other areas too. No longer happy with the standard crockery, many royal wedding apps have been created to give up to date news and a countdown to the big day.
